A middle-aged Indian tourist was beaten in public by a group of trans female sex workers on Pattaya's famous Walking Street in Thailand. The incident allegedly occurred over a dispute regarding non-payment for services. A video of the attack has gone viral on social media.
According to a local media outlet, The Thaiger, the incident occurred in the early hours of December 27. The tourist, identified as 52-year-old Raj Jasuja, is said to have refused to pay the service fee, leading to an argument with one of the sex workers. Eyewitnesses claim the sex worker then called her associates, and together they surrounded and attacked Raj.

The viral video shows the group chasing the tourist on a public street, kicking him, and beating him with shoes and slippers. He was thrown to the ground and continued to be assaulted before being rescued by workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation.
He sustained serious injuries to his face and head and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Pattaya.
The incident has sparked a range of mixed reactions online. Some netizens have raised concerns about tourist safety in Pattaya and the city’s nightlife, while others have questioned the behaviour of Indian tourists abroad, suggesting such incidents can tarnish the country’s reputation.
