On Monday afternoon, Deputy Commissioner Gyanesh Bharati reached South Bengal. Deputy Director Apurba Kumar Singh has gone to North Bengal. Their objective is to review election-related preparations, law and order, and administrative coordination through a series of meetings.
Deputy Commissioner Gyanesh Bharati arrived in the state on a three-day visit starting Monday. Another team of the Commission will tour five districts of North Bengal, led by Deputy Director Apurba Kumar Singh.

Around 12:30 pm on Monday, Gyanesh landed at Andal airport in West Burdwan. From there, he proceeded by road towards Birbhum. He is scheduled to hold meetings at the district magistrate’s office. Two officials are accompanying him.
Virtual meetings to be held
He is also expected to hold virtual meetings with officials from West Burdwan, East Burdwan, Hooghly, North 24 Parganas, and Kolkata. At 7 pm, the team led by Gyanesh will move to Murshidabad, where they will hold a meeting at the district magistrate’s office and stay overnight. On Tuesday morning, the schedule includes Nadia.
Meanwhile, the team led by Apurba also reached North Bengal on Monday. Their tour will begin from Alipurduar, followed by Rajabhatkhawa. The officials will inspect booths there and interact with local residents. They are also scheduled to visit Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong. According to a Commission source, this team will stay in the state for five days.
