At the end of the year, while not all service-related problems have been resolved, the Metro authorities have fixed the app glitch. After several days of issues, the 'Amar Kolkata Metro' app has finally started working. According to the authorities, normal app services resumed from Monday afternoon.
Sometimes power outages, and sometimes services are on broken tracks. The 'Amar Kolkata Metro' app had joined the list of woes plaguing the problem-ridden Kolkata Metro. For several days, passengers had been complaining that the app was not working. As a result, functions like ticket booking and card recharging through the app were disrupted. Consequently, regular commuters who wanted to avoid long queues at Metro stations by booking tickets online found themselves in great trouble. Unable to book tickets online, long queues at station counters had become the routine for the past few days. As a result, many people were missing their Metro trains despite reaching the station on time. Metro authorities have announced that this situation will change after Monday afternoon.
