After six long years, Tollywood is set for a familiar yet exciting return.
Actor Arjun Chakrabarty is making his comeback to the big screen, and this time, under the direction of Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee. The actor has been roped in for Windows’ upcoming film, with the look test taking place on Monday.
Known for their thoughtful casting choices, the Shibu–Nandita duo often surprises audiences by bringing back actors who have stayed away from the limelight for years. From Swatilekha Sengupta and Soumitra Chattopadhyay to Rakhi Gulzar, their films have repeatedly blended nostalgia with strong storytelling. Arjun Chakrabarty’s return now adds another name to that list.
The shooting of the film is scheduled to begin on January 4 next year. While details about the project are still under wraps, the casting itself has already sparked curiosity.

ShibOprasad shared the news by posting a selfie with the actor on Facebook. In the caption accompanying the photo,
Shibprasad wrote, '"We worked together in 1996 in a serial called 'Ghum Nei'. Then, after thirty years, we will work together again in 2026. The biggest surprise of next year will be the comeback of my very dear person and actor Arjun Chakrabarty. Many artists have started their second innings in Windows' cinema. We are blessed that actor Arjun Chakrabarty has agreed to work with us."'
