A student of Gour Banga University has alleged that she was subjected to non-cooperation and harassment for being a member of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad. The allegation is that Professor Bapi Mishra harassed the student named Nabanita Das. Nabanita is an alumna of the university.
On Friday, she submitted a complaint to the current Vice-Chancellor, Ashis Bandyopadhyay. In it, she stated that due to the professor's instigation, her classmates also refused to cooperate with her. Nabanita, a resident of Ingraj Bazar town in Malda, said that she held the position of president of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad while studying at the university. For this reason, Professor Bapi Mishra subjected her to non-cooperation in various ways. She had lodged complaints with the university's Vice-Chancellor, the state's Chief Minister, and the Governor. But it yielded no results.
