He said that the deaths of three martyrs have been mourned, with a clear assertion that their sacrifice will be avenged. It was also stated that the three soldiers injured in the attack are now stable and doing well. Trump also informed that Syria's new President, Ahmed al-Shara, is extremely angry about this attack. Trump described the area where the attack took place as a 'very dangerous part' of Syria. He also claimed that part is not completely under government control.
This attack occurred one week after Ahmed al-Shara's meeting with Trump at the White House. According to the Syrian news agency SANA's report, Syrian and American forces were targeted in the attack on Saturday. The militant was killed in the counter-attack.
