The White House has posted a series of cryptic videos and pixelated images on its official social media accounts, causing widespread attention and speculation about a possible announcement from the Trump administration.
One of the videos features a 'shushing face' emoji and seems to be meaningless. However, when people tried watching it in reverse, they heard, “Exciting announcement tomorrow.” These posts, which were made late on Wednesday, went viral in no time, receiving millions of views.
The first video, posted on the White House’s official X account, has since been deleted but continues to circulate online. It shows shaky footage recorded on a mobile phone, focused on the ground. A woman, visible only from the legs down, is heard asking, “It's so cool. It's launching soon, right?” An off-camera male voice responds affirmatively. The words “sound on” appear on the screen.

A second video features a black screen that transitions into a sketch of the White House with “President Donald J. Trump” written below. An unclear voice plays in the background, which some users say reveals the same message when reversed.

Pixelated images add to mystery
Alongside the videos, the White House has posted three heavily pixelated images. Two of the images appear to be of President Donald Trump, while the other image appears to be of Vice President JD Vance. Similar content has also been posted on the official Instagram account of the White House.

Posts coincide with US-Iran tensions
The timing of these posts comes amid heightened tensions between the US and Iran. President Trump recently stated that negotiations with Iran are ongoing, describing them as “in-depth, detailed and constructive.” Iranian officials, however, have denied that any talks are taking place.
In a post on Truth Social dated March 26, Trump dismissed Iran’s claims, saying its negotiators were “begging” for a deal and warning of serious consequences if progress is not made.
Meanwhile, a report by The Wall Street Journal said the US is considering deploying up to 10,000 additional troops to the Middle East, potentially expanding its military presence in the region.
