Nike is investigating a design issue in its national team kits ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The problem, described as bulging around the shoulder seams, became noticeable during the recent international break. It was seen on kits worn by teams including the England national football team, the France national football team and the Uruguay national football team.

In a statement, a Nike spokesperson said the company had identified a “minor issue” with the kits, particularly around the shoulder seam. While performance remains unaffected, the brand admitted that the overall look does not meet its standards.

Multiple teams and fans affected

According to The Gurdian, Nike supplies kits to several countries participating in the tournament, including co-hosts Canada and the United States, along with teams such as the Brazil national football team, the Netherlands national football team and the South Korea national football team. The issue has been observed in both match shirts worn by players and stadium versions sold to fans. Supporters have also raised concerns after noticing the flaw in purchased jerseys. In the UK, the England stadium shirt is priced at ÂŁ89.99, while the match version costs ÂŁ134.99.
