EV or 'Electric Vehicle' – Indian automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has brought a new sensation to the world. On Saturday afternoon, the company launched Mahindra's two new EV SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles), 9S R7XO and XEV 9S, from a showroom on Chowringhee Road in Kolkata. Several top executives of Mahindra were present at the car launch event. Actress Isha Sahao was also present. She unveiled the two new cars by removing their covers.
Mahindra's XEV 9s is India's first authentic 7-seater EV SUV. The car's main powerhouse is its battery, which can deliver power output up to 180 kilowatts. The car's maximum torque is 380 Newton meters (Nm). It also has a fast charging facility. The company claims it takes only 20 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%. Once fully charged, the car can run up to 500 kilometres.

The car's cabin is also quite large and very comfortable. The cabin space is 4,076 litres. Additionally, there is a 150-litre trunk space in the front and 527 litres of boot space at the rear. The manufacturer claims this car is perfectly suitable for running on Indian roads. It has i-link front suspension and 5-link suspension at the rear.
Mahindra has not compromised on safety and technology either. The car will have multiple airbags and an autopark assist facility. Through autopark assist, the car can be parked very easily, even in narrow spaces. The manufacturer has also impressed on the infotainment front. It features a 31.24-centimetre digital screen, Dolby Atmos audio support, Harman Kardon speakers, and wireless charging support both at the front and rear of the car.
On the other hand, the 9S R7XO car has been designed keeping daily commuters in mind. The car will have a digital cockpit system. To make the driving experience more exciting and to maintain complete driver control over the car, it will have traction control.
