The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a fresh advisory for candidates appearing in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination, scheduled for June 21.
The agency has asked students not to believe unverified claims circulating on social media and confirmed that the exam will take place as planned. NTA asks NEET UG 2026 candidates to ignore postponement rumours ahead of June 21 re-exam
The clarification came after several social media posts and online messages claimed that the examination could be postponed.

According to the agency, no official decision has been taken to defer the examination. Candidates have been advised to rely only on updates published through official NTA platforms and avoid misinformation circulating online. The re-exam was announced following the cancellation of the earlier NEET UG 2026 test and is set to be conducted in pen-and-paper mode.
Admit card download process made easier
NTA has also introduced a significant change in the admit card download process. Candidates can now access and download their admit cards without first completing bank account verification related to examination fee refunds.
The move comes after students reported difficulties in downloading hall tickets due to issues linked to the refund verification process. By separating the two procedures, the agency aims to reduce last-minute inconvenience and ensure that candidates can obtain their admit cards smoothly before the examination.
