The National Testing Agency (NTA) has eased the admit card download process for candidates appearing in the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination. Students can now access their hall tickets without first completing bank account verification, a step that had earlier prevented some aspirants from downloading the document.
The move comes after several candidates reported difficulties while trying to obtain their admit cards. Many students were unable to proceed because their bank details had not been verified, while others expressed confusion over the connection between the refund process and hall ticket access.
NTA clarifies refund eligibility
Addressing the issue, the NTA issued a clarification on X, stating that bank account verification is linked only to the examination fee refund process and not to admit card availability.

“If you were unable to download your admit card earlier due to pending bank details, you can now download it right away, complete bank account verification later, and still remain eligible for the examination fee refund process," the agency stated.
The clarification means candidates no longer need to wait for bank verification before downloading their admit cards. The agency also confirmed that students will remain eligible for the refund irrespective of when they complete the verification process.
