The last date for the registration process for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET) 2026 is scheduled for March 8, 2026. Candidates who wish to appear for the medical entrance test should complete their application process before the last date.
The application process for NEET UG 2026 is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). As per the public notice issued by NTA on February 8, 2026, candidates can apply for NEET UG 2026 only through online mode.

Exam pattern and language options
The NEET UG 2026 examination will be conducted for 180 minutes (3 hours). The test is scheduled to take place between 2 pm and 5 pm IST.
The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode and will be available in multiple languages including Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
Courses covered through NEET UG
NEET UG scores are used for admission to several undergraduate medical and allied courses across India. These include MBBS, BDS, BVSc and AH, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS and BHMS.
The examination is also mandatory for candidates applying to the Military Nursing Service (MNS) for admission to BSc Nursing courses offered at Armed Forces Medical Services hospitals.

General: Rs 1,700
General-EWS /OBC-NCL: Rs 1,600
SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender: Rs 1,000
Candidates outside India: Rs 9,500
NTA guidelines for uploading photograph
The NTA has issued specific instructions regarding the photograph to be uploaded during registration.
Candidates must ensure that their face occupies at least 80 per cent of the photograph. The face should be clearly visible and must not be covered with caps, glasses or goggles.

Applicants can upload the photograph either by using a web camera on their computer or by scanning a QR code through a mobile phone to capture the image.
The photo submitted during the application process will be verified on the day of the examination, so candidates must ensure that it is clear and accurate.
