Travel planning and timely arrival

While issuing a notice, as reported by NDTV, the board mentioned possible issues arising out of official events and traffic constraints during the period of examination. The board, in its advisory, mentioned, "Keeping in view important national and international summits, high-level meetings, and other programmes scheduled during the examination period, traffic regulations may result in congestion, route diversions, and delays in different parts of the country."

Students have been advised to be cautious of local traffic, weather and distance while planning their travel. The entry will be closed by 10 am only. The board mentioned, "All students are advised to leave home early so that they reach their examination centre on time, as per the instructions issued by CBSE."

Schools have been asked to assist these families and students have been urged to visit these centres beforehand to avoid confusion.

New measures for 2026 exams

To make the examination process more efficient and transparent, the CBSE has introduced three major changes for the upcoming examinations. These changes are:

A second opportunity for Class 10 students to take the board examination.

On-Screen Marking for answer sheets for Class 12 students.

Dividing the Science and Social Science question papers for Class 10 students.

Focus on digital evaluation

Therefore, everyone must be fully aware of the rules, policies, and SOPs," he said, emphasising the benefits of a digital evaluation process.
