NTA announces new date for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results. When will scores be out?

The National Testing Agency (NTA), on February 11 night, said that the result for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 will be announced on February 16, instead of the earlier expected date of February 12, as mentioned in the information bulletin. Once the result is declared, the candidates will be able to check their scores and cut-off marks on the official websites, nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The window to raise objections against the provisional answer key had closed on February 6. The agency is currently processing the objections raised by the students and the final answer key will be released thereafter.

Final answer key likely today

According to media reports, the final answer key for JEE Main 2026 is expected to be released today (February 13).

Whose results will not be declared?

The JEE Main 2026 results of candidates found using unfair means will be cancelled and not declared. Similarly, results of candidates who appear at a centre other than the one assigned, or who let someone else take the exam for them, will also be cancelled.

Any candidate taking the exam more than once in the same session will have their candidature cancelled and be barred from future exams, according to the relevant guidelines. No appeals on this matter will be accepted.

When was JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam held?

The JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 exam was conducted in a computer-based mode from January 21 to January 29. The exam was conducted in two shifts everyday, with the morning session taking place from 9 am to noon and the afternoon session taking place from 3 pm to 6 pm.

The BE and BTech exams were conducted over a period of eight days, from January 21 to January 28. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate, according to students and experts, although the difficulty level was different for each shift and subject combination.

In comparison, the January session of 2025 had a slightly different schedule. The exam was conducted from January 22 to January 30, and the results were announced by the National Testing Agency on February 11. During this session, the agency had also removed 12 questions from the final answer key after evaluation, which impacted the scoring pattern of some candidates.
