Abhishek Bachchan has opened up about how he and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan protect their daughter Aaradhya from online speculation and rumours about their marriage.
During an interaction with PeepingMoon, Abhishek said that Aishwarya has played a crucial role in shaping Aaradhya’s understanding of the film industry and the scrutiny that comes with it.

“Aishwarya has instilled a great respect in Aaradhya towards the film industry and what we do. She has taught her that we are what we are because of what the films and audience have given to us,” he said. The actor added that Aaradhya, now 14, is growing into a confident teenager with clear opinions that she expresses privately at home.
Aaradhya doesn’t have a phone, says Abhishek
Abhishek told PeepingMoon that their daughter does not own a mobile phone and maintains limited online exposure.
“She is 14 years old and she doesn’t have a phone. If her friends want to get in touch with her, they have to call her mother’s phone. She has access to the internet, but she is more interested in doing her homework and researching. She loves school,” he said.
Asked whether Aaradhya ever comes across or gets affected by rumours about her parents, Abhishek said he does not believe she pays attention to such content.
“I don’t think that is what interests her, and she won’t believe anything that she reads. Her mother has taught her not to believe everything that she reads,” he told PeepingMoon.
He added that the family maintains complete honesty with one another, eliminating any scope for doubt or confusion.
As per a recent post on Instagram by PeepingMoon, Aishwarya has also stated that, "The things that are out there, sometimes people believe that's hers, no it isn't. There is some well-wisher out there who's made it, I guess. Obviously it comes from a place of love for Aaradhya, for my family, for my husband, for me, and you know, thank you for all your love, but that isn't her, she's not on social media."

Abhishek talks about lifestyle changes after becoming a parent
During the conversation, Abhishek was also asked about reports claiming he quit smoking and drinking when Aishwarya was pregnant with Aaradhya. He confirmed this, saying, “I have stopped both of these, sadly. No, I don’t touch them at all.”
Abhishek and Aishwarya, who married in 2007, welcomed Aaradhya in 2011. Despite recent buzz around their marriage, the couple has not responded publicly to speculation and continues to make joint appearances.
