The “Red Screen” sequence that shook viewers
One of Dhurandhar’s most talked-about scenes occurs when the film abruptly cuts to a blood-red screen displaying real transcripts of phone calls between the 26/11 Lashkar-e-Taiba attackers and their ISI handlers. The moment stops the narrative cold, confronting viewers with the chilling coordination behind the 2008 attacks.
A clip circulating online shows Arjun Rampal and fellow cast members moments before the Red Screen sequence. Under the post, a viewer praised the actors for delivering such a heavy scene, writing: “The 26/11 scene was impactful… As an audience, we felt Hamza’s pain. As an Indian, how did the cast feel shooting this?”
Rampal responded with just four words that quickly went viral: "Most difficult scene of my life."
Many social media users echoed the emotional weight he described, with one post noting, "Imagine being a Mumbaikar… and having to cheer during the 26/11 attacks — even if it’s just acting. The emotional toll is unimaginable.”
