Akshaye Khanna has once again become a major topic of discussion online, thanks to his powerful performance in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar.
As social media celebrates his comeback, several old interviews, rumours, and unseen clips of the actor are resurfacing. One such video that has caught everyone’s attention shows Akshaye Khanna attending Karisma Kapoor’s wedding with Sunjay Kapur, and kissing Karisma’s hand while congratulating the couple.
The resurfaced clip has revived old gossip about Akshaye and Karisma’s rumoured relationship. Years ago, there was heavy speculation that the two were close and were even considering marriage. This was during a period when Karisma was at the peak of her career. Rumours also suggested that the bond between them grew stronger after her split from Ajay Devgn.
Although neither Akshaye nor Karisma ever confirmed the relationship, reports at the time claimed that Randhir Kapoor supported the match and even approached Vinod Khanna. According to a report by The Times of India, Karisma’s mother, Babita Kapoor, was against the relationship because she felt marriage would interrupt her daughter’s rising career.
Karisma later got engaged to Abhishek Bachchan, a moment publicly announced by Jaya Bachchan, but the engagement was eventually called off.
