Actor Imran Hashmi, who often finds himself in the spotlight for various reasons, has this time spoken about his experiences at airports. The actor is currently busy promoting his web series 'Taskari: The Smugglers Web', in which he plays a customs department official. Interestingly, he revealed that he has faced scrutiny from immigration officials in real life on several occasions.
At the recent trailer launch of the series in Mumbai, Imran was asked whether he had ever been questioned by customs officials at airports. Responding to the query, he said that he has generally been treated well and that arrangements made for him during travel have been courteous. However, he added that the heightened sense of apprehension he personally feels in such situations does not seem entirely justified.

Elaborating further, Imran compared the feeling to getting anxious upon seeing a traffic officer despite knowing one has done nothing wrong. He said that even when travelling alone with nothing more than clothes in his bag and passing through the green channel, he often felt an unreasonable sense of guilt, as though he were carrying prohibited items, which made him feel like a smuggler.
Imran also shared that he was earlier stopped frequently during immigration checks, though that has since changed. He said this used to happen quite regularly in the past, possibly due to his appearance or accessories like ear studs, especially when he travelled alone. He noted that now, when he is seen travelling with his family, such suspicion no longer arises.
