The makers of Vadh 2 have released a new poster featuring Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, around a month ahead of the film’s theatrical release. The poster was shared on Instagram by Neena Gupta and the production banner Luv Films, with the caption: “Jaaniye iss vadh ka sach. One month to go for #Vadh2. In cinemas on 6th Feb.”
The image places the two actors in a restrained, contemplative frame, moving away from overly dramatics. Instead, it points toward questions of morality and perception, suggesting a narrative where truth is fragile and shaped by viewpoint rather than certainty.

Spiritual successor with familiar thematic weight
Written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vadh 2 is positioned as a spiritual successor rather than a direct continuation of the movie Vadh that was released in 2022. While the story is new, the film aims to retain the earlier work’s focus on moral conflict and emotional restraint. The project is produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under the Luv Films banner.
The film’s early buzz began after its gala premiere at the International Film Festival of India last year. At the 56th edition in 2025, the film reportedly played to a full house and received extended applause, further underlining the reputation of Mishra and Gupta as performers known for understated intensity.

Background: The first ‘Vadh’
The original Vadh followed Shambhunath Mishra, a retired teacher who lived with his wife, Manju, and was under financial strain. After they mortgage their house to pay for their son's overseas education, only for him to abandon them, the situation gets worse. A vicious moneylender's persistent harassment drives Shambhunath to commit a crime that permanently alters their life. Sanjay Mishra, Neena Gupta, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Manav Vij's performances and the film's restrained narrative were highly praised.
