The following series of the renowned criminal series Farzi is now officially in the making after months of rumours and fan expectation. A new episode of the series, which has been one of the most discussed online releases of 2023, is now making a return to Netflix. The announcement that Farzi 2 production began, actor Shahid Kapoor gave fans their first official scoop on the eagerly awaited follow-up.
Shahid Kapoor confirms filming for "Farzi 2."
On the first day of the shoot, Shahid posted a black-and-white shot with the series' creators. He added, "Farzi 2 day 1... back at it!!! (sic)", confirming the start of filming for the eagerly awaited second season. The star had already hinted at the release in February. Shahid shared a photo of himself with the creators on Stories on Instagram at the time, writing, "The fakers are back at it." As they work on the upcoming season, which has started, according to the show's creators, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., also referred to as Raj & DK. The pair posted a picture of heaped money with the caption, "Round 2 in progress", on their official Instagram account. Its makers, producers, and directors are Raj and DK. They have also contributed to the writing along with Sita Menon and Suman Kumar. Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Amol Palekar are among the show's outstanding actors. On February 10, 2023, the first season of the eight-episode criminal thriller Farzi was released on Amazon Prime Video. The narrative focuses on Shahid Kapoor's character Sunny, a young scam artist who, while attempting to pull off the ideal scam, finds himself taken into the dangerous underworld of copying.
Besides Farzi 2, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in Cocktail 2, which is a follow-up to the 2012 romance drama Cocktail, which starred Diana Penty, Saif Ali Khan, and Deepika Padukone. Shahid will appear opposite Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in the next chapter. Under the Maddock Films tag, Homi Adajania is the director, and Dinesh Vijan is the film's producer.
