Cricketer Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, tied the knot with businesswoman Saaniya Chandhok in a star-studded ceremony held in Mumbai on March 5. The wedding ceremony took place at the St Regis Hotel, where many prominent figures from the cricket world, Bollywood, business, and politics were in attendance.
While the lavish celebrations have taken over the news headlines, another aspect of the newlywed couple has also managed to grab the attention of the internet community. The age difference between the couple is a talking point.
Age difference between Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandhok
Saaniya Chandhok, born on June 23, 1998, is slightly older than Arjun Tendulkar, who was born on September 24, 1999. The difference is less than a year, but it quickly became a talking point on social media after the wedding.

Many observers pointed out the similarity to Arjun’s parents’ love story. When Sachin Tendulkar married Anjali Tendulkar in 1995, Anjali was six years older than the cricket legend. Their marriage has since been widely regarded as one of the most enduring partnerships associated with Indian cricket.
A star-studded wedding in Mumbai
The wedding ceremony was also attended by several high-profile celebrities from the world of entertainment and sports. Bollywood icons such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were a few of the prominent figures who were present to bless the newlywed couple.
Mukesh Ambani, the renowned industrialist, also attended the ceremony along with his wife Nita Ambani. The couple was accompanied by their family members. The wedding ceremony was also attended by several renowned cricketers, such as former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, along with former spinner Harbhajan Singh.
Politicians were also spotted at the event, including Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh, who later shared photographs from the celebrations.

The ceremony took place under a theme titled “SaaJ”, with a striking 270-degree mandap installation designed by wedding planners Eternity by Trinity. Guests described the décor as elaborate yet elegant, blending traditional wedding elements with modern design.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the bride’s entry accompanied by singer Harshdeep Kaur, while celebrated musician Shankar Mahadevan performed the traditional Mangalashtak during the rituals.

Saaniya Chandhok opted for a red saree instead of the more commonly seen bridal lehenga, reflecting elements of traditional North Indian and Gujarati bridal attire.
Arjun’s sister Sara Tendulkar also drew attention online, with pictures of her pink wedding outfit widely shared across social media.
Saaniya Chandhok comes from a prominent business family and is the granddaughter of Mumbai-based industrialist Ravi Ghai. She is also known as a co-founder of a luxury pet grooming brand. The couple had earlier held a private engagement ceremony in August 2025 attended by close friends and family.
