Popular Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt’s last film Jigra was released in theatres in 2024. Since then, she has not appeared on the big screen, leaving many fans eagerly waiting for her next film. Although the actor has remained in the spotlight, the wait for her upcoming project has made fans increasingly curious.

To ease the anticipation, Alia Bhatt shared a post on her official social media handle today. She announced the release date of her upcoming film Alpha and also unveiled its first-look poster. The YRF spy thriller stars Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor alongside her. Recently, the film had been in the news due to rumours of a direct OTT release. However, Alia’s post confirmed that Alpha will hit theatres in July this year.

First glimpse of Alia Bhatt’s action avatar in ‘Alpha’:

Alpha, which was announced two years ago, is the seventh film in the YRF spy universe. The franchise already includes films like ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012), ‘War’ (2019) and ‘Paathan’ (2023). What makes ‘Alpha’ special is that it is the first female-led film in the spy universe, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.

Adding to the excitement, Alia recently revealed the first-look poster and the theatrical release date of the film, which is July 10, 2026. The poster shows a glimpse of Alia Bhatt through the Greek symbol of alpha. She is seen with a deep cut on her shoulder, a bruise on her lip and another on her eyebrow.
