Actor Sangeeta Bijlani revealed details of a robbery that took place at her Pune residence, sharing how valuables were stolen while she was away. The incident has been reported to local authorities, and an investigation is underway to identify the culprits.

Experienced Bollywood actress and former Miss India Sangeeta Bijlani recently spoke out about a burglary incident at her Pune residence. She said she is still terrified and distressed by the incident that occurred earlier this year. On Saturday, at an award ceremony in Pune, she revealed that she personally met with Pune Police Superintendent Sandeep Singh Gill to request a swift resolution of the case.

According to an IANS report, Sangeeta Bijlani told journalists, “I came to Pune specifically to meet SP Sandeep Singh Gill and request him to complete the investigation quickly. As a woman, I don't feel safe in my own home, the house where I have been living for the past 20 years”.

According to police sources, the burglary occurred at Bijlani's bungalow located in the Pavandharan area of Tikona Peth in Pune. According to reports, the thieves entered from the back and stole ₹50,000 in cash and a television set worth ₹7,000, totaling ₹57,000 in damages.

The case has been registered at the Lonavala Rural police station. The complaint was filed by one of Bijlani's personal staff members. The bungalow had been empty for four months. Bijlani went there around 9:30 AM on July 18 this year, and then the burglary was discovered. The investigation is ongoing, and the accused are still at large.

Sangeeta Bijlani started modeling at just 16 years old. She gained national recognition by winning the Miss India Universe title in 1980. She represented India at the Miss Universe competition held in Seoul, South Korea, and won the Best National Costume award, which was designed by her mother, Punam Bijlani.

She made her Bollywood debut in 1988 with the film 'Qatil', where she acted opposite Aditya Pancholi. After that, she never looked back. She acted in successful films like 'Tridev', 'Hathyar', 'Jurm', 'Yodha', 'Yugandhar', 'Izzat', and 'Laxman Rekha'. In her career, she worked with renowned directors like Mahesh Bhatt, Mukul Anand, JP Dutta, Rahul Rawail and N Chandra.

Her last film was the 1996 action thriller 'Nirbhay', where she acted alongside Mithun Chakraborty, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, and Kiran Kumar.
