Agastya Nanda made his big-screen debut with Ikkis on January 1, 2026. The film is also being described as the final movie of veteran actor Dharmendra. Since its theatrical release, the biographical war drama has received strong reviews from both critics and audiences and performed decently at the box office. Story and emotional significance
Ikkis tells the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, played by Agastya Nanda, the youngest soldier to receive the Param Vir Chakra. The film focuses on the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, where Arun sacrificed his life in the line of duty.

The story also follows his father, Brigadier Madan Lal Khetarpal (played by Dharmendra), who travels to Pakistan three decades after his son’s martyrdom. Jaideep Ahlawat plays Brigadier Jaan Mohammad Nisar. The film is special as it marks the final on-screen appearance of Dharmendra and Asrani.
After the film’s release, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol shared an emotional note on Instagram. They described Ikkis as a tribute from their father to the country he loved and to the audience who supported him. Calling it a deeply personal keepsake, they said it carries his courage, warmth and spirit.

When and where to Watch Ikkis?
According to a report by OTTplay, Ikkis will be available for digital rental on the Prime Video Store from February 12, 2026. During this early access phase, viewers can watch the film by paying a one-time rental fee. Later, on February 26, 2026, the movie will be available free of cost for all Prime Video subscribers.
It was already announced in the theatrical version that the film’s official streaming partner is Amazon Prime Video. Usually, theatrical films arrive on OTT platforms within six to eight weeks of their cinema release.
