‘In one moment everything they knew shatters forever’: AI clip imagines emotional Dhurandhar 2 twist

A fan page has created an AI-generated video imagining a scene from Dhurandhar 2 in which character Jameel Jamali reveals his true identity as an Indian intelligence agent to his daughter Yalina. The clip has drawn attention online, tapping into one of the film's most emotionally charged storylines.

The fan page captioned the post, "After the devastating aftermath of the movie, Jameel Jamali stands at the edge of a life altering confession, ready to reveal his true identity to his own daughter Yalina. In one moment everything they knew shatters forever."

Jameel Jamali's secret in Dhurandhar 2

In Dhurandhar 2, the biggest revelation is that Jameel Jamali, played by Rakesh Bedi, is an Indian intelligence agent who has spent 45 years deep undercover in Karachi's Lyari. His real name is never disclosed in the film. His family, including Yalina, remains unaware of his true identity throughout, while he successfully kept Pakistani politics, the terror network, and the ISI in the dark.

Fans have expressed sympathy for Jameel Jamali, noting that unlike Hamza, he never got a chance to return to his homeland. The character is also widely known for his popular one-liner "Mera Bachcha Hai Tu".

In Dhurandhar Part 1, Jameel Jamali indirectly tells Hamza off when he questions his capability as a father, the subtext of which only becomes clear in Part 2.

Jameel Jamali's role in Hamza's escape

Jameel Jamali helps his son-in-law Hamza Ali Mazari, played by Ranveer Singh, whose real name is Jaskirat Singh Rangi, escape the ISI and return to India under the alias Saurabh Bhardwaj with a new passport. Before his departure, Jameel Jamali asks Hamza to forget Yalina and their grandson Zayan, telling him he will never be able to see them again.

Hamza then calls Yalina, who already knows his real identity as an Indian spy undercover in Karachi for 15 years. During the emotional phone call, Yalina calls him by his real name Jaskirat, causing Hamza to break down, as it was the first time in years someone had addressed him by his real name. Jameel Jamali watches with misty eyes as Hamza boards the Delhi-bound aircraft, with the song Jaan Se Guzarte Hain playing in the background.

What the AI clip depicts

In the fan-made video, Jameel Jamali asks Yalina to sit beside him and warns her that what he is about to share may bring her peace or devastate her. He tells her he should have revealed the truth long ago. Yalina, sensing something is wrong, asks him what the matter is.

Jameel Jamali responds, "Agar tum Hamza se uski sachhai ke liye nafrat karti ho tum mujhse bhi nafrat karogi."

Yalina replies, "Abbu, aap mujhe dara rahe hain. Aisa lag raha hai aap mujhse kuch chhupa rahe hain."

Jameel Jamali then begins: "Sach ye hai bachha..." The clip leaves open the question of how Yalina would react upon discovering that both her husband and her father are Indian spies.
