Singer Chinmayi Sripaada has expressed concern after a video of actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu struggling to move through a crowd at a public event in Hyderabad went viral on social media. The footage shows Samantha being surrounded by a large group of people, with security personnel appearing unable to control the situation.
The incident took place at the inauguration of a silk saree showroom in Jubilee Hills. As soon as word spread that Samantha would be present, a huge crowd gathered at the venue. Despite the presence of police and private security, fans pushed forward, making it difficult for the actor to reach her car.

Reacting to the video, Chinmayi said the scenes were disturbing and pointed to a serious failure in planning and crowd control. She questioned why celebrities are repeatedly put in such situations where their personal safety is left to chance.
'Managing mobs is not an actress’s job'
Sharing the clip online, Chinmayi drew attention to the fact that a member of Samantha’s team, Arya, was seen shielding the actor with his body to protect her from being pushed.
“The actress’s team member is literally using his own body to protect her,” Chinmayi wrote. “He would have definitely been hurt. Controlling a mob of people with no basic civic sense is not an actress’s responsibility.”
She also questioned whether such behaviour should be treated as fan enthusiasm at all, saying that excitement cannot justify putting someone at risk.

Chinmayi linked the incident to a similar episode involving actor Nidhhi Agerwal at a Hyderabad event earlier, where police later took action against organisers over poor security arrangements. She pointed out that such incidents keep repeating despite previous warnings.
“When will we learn?” she asked, calling for better accountability from event organisers and stricter enforcement of safety norms.
The video has since sparked a wider discussion online about crowd behaviour, event management, and the lack of adequate protection for public figures during promotional appearances.
