Nora Fatehi safe after drunk driver rams car in Mumbai, police confirm

Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi was involved in a minor car accident in Mumbai after a drunk driver rammed into her vehicle. Police said she is safe and stable, and a case has been registered against the driver.

Actor Nora Fatehi was involved in a minor car accident in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon after a drunk driver rammed into her vehicle, police officials said. The actor did not sustain any serious injuries.

According to Mumbai Police, the incident occurred around 4 pm when Fatehi was travelling to the Sunburn Festival venue in the city. A car driven by an intoxicated man collided with her vehicle from behind.

Taken to hospital for first aid, driver taken into custody

As per a Hindu report, “She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for first aid, where her condition was confirmed to be stable,” a Mumbai Police official said. The actor was discharged shortly thereafter.

Despite the incident, Fatehi went ahead with her scheduled performance at the music festival later in the evening, police said.

A case has been registered against the driver under sections related to rash driving and driving under the influence. The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.

Sunburn, traditionally held in Goa, is being organised in Mumbai this year. The three-day electronic dance music festival began on December 19 and concludes on December 21.

Police said further details regarding the case will be shared as the investigation progresses.
