Legal notice over alleged real-life inspiration
Amid this excitement, legal complications have emerged regarding the film. It has been learned that this film is based on the life of Mumbai gangster Hussein Ustara from the eighties and nineties. Hussein was reportedly close to Dawood Ibrahim. Later, he was allegedly killed by Dawood himself. Shahid plays the role of Hussein on screen.
According to sources, Hussein Ustara's daughter has reportedly sent a legal notice to the film's producer, Sajid Nadiadwala. She has demanded compensation of 2 crore rupees. Sonobar has raised objections to the way Shahid's character has been portrayed on screen. Along with demanding financial compensation, Sonobar has stated that this film will not be released without her permission.

The makers have not clarified whether this film is about Hussein Ustara's life. However, they had hinted that this film is inspired by true events. Even after watching the teaser, Shahid's character in the film cannot be clearly understood.
