Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika shine in ‘System’ Trailer: Fans call it a ‘Masterpiece in the Making’

The trailer of “System” a new courtroom drama series featuring Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika has been released on Tuesday morning.

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is all set to make her comeback as a director after giving movies like “Bareilly ki Barfi” and “Nil Battey Sannata” before. The series will be produced under the banner of Baweja Studio by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja, and Smitha Baliga.

Sonakshi Sinha plays an ambitious, young lawyer

In the intense 1.59-minutes trailer, we can see Neha, played by Sonakshi Sinha, is a determined young lawyer eager to prove herself worthy of becoming a partner at her father’s law firm. Her father, portrayed by Ashutosh Gowariker, throws her a difficult challenge of proving herself worthy of becoming his partner with a task that could shape her future. To strengthen her case, Neha teams up with Sarika, a sharp and street-smart courtroom stenographer played by Jyotika, who appears to have hidden motives of her own.

The audience is given a powerful glimpse, where they are taken through intense courtroom clashes, strained personal relationships, and emotionally charged moments that hint at the larger social issues explored in the film. According to a press note, the story aims to reflect the complexities of justice and the social divisions that often influence it.

Sonakshi Sinha, in a conversation with Zee News, shares that “Playing this character has been deeply rewarding. I'm always drawn to stories that challenge me as an actor, and Prime Video has given me the opportunity to explore diverse genres and themes- from Dahaad to now System. This original movie is more than just a legal drama; it reflects the society we live in, where justice can sometimes be as divided as the social structures around us. Ashwiny's clear vision helped me bring out my best and I'm excited to see how audiences respond when System premieres."
