Why did Diljit react publicly

Taking to Instagram, Diljit wrote in Punjabi, “If someone brings a banner or flag, it usually means they want to show they’ve come from a certain place and support us. But if you’re standing outside with the same banner abusing my fans, and then trying to do the same thing inside the venue too, I’m not going to tolerate this."

The singer made it clear that he was not against any flag or banner, but against people creating trouble during the concert.

‘Don’t Spread Fake Narratives’

Diljit further stated, “I didn’t say anything to any banner, don’t spread fake narratives," and confirmed that he only asked his security personnel to remove those who were trying to disturb the event by creating a nuisance. Diljit added that he had been avoiding speaking about the issue since last year, but would remain silent no longer, and concluded his note by writing, “Love & Peace."

What happened during the concert

As per News18 reports, a video from the concert went viral online where Diljit Dosanjh was heard saying, “Jitne jhande dikhane dikhao." As per DNA reports, the singer became upset after noticing some people protesting during the show.

According to reports, a few protesters were unhappy with Diljit’s recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and accused him of not visiting Punjab during the recent floods.
