The Bollywood spy thriller Dhurandhar has delivered several standout moments, but few have exploded on the internet like the entry sequence of Akshaye Khanna’s character, Rehman Dakait. The reason is not just the performance but it’s the soundtrack behind it. The Bahraini rap track “FA9LA” has suddenly become one of the most talked-about songs in India, sparking a wave of interest in the artist behind it: Flipperachi.

One of the Arab world’s leading Khaleeji rappers

Flipperachi, whose real name is Hussam Aseem, is a pioneering figure in Bahrain’s hip-hop scene. He is known for his bold Khaleeji style and high-energy delivery, he has been part of the region’s contemporary rap movement after signing with Outlaw Productions in 2008. He has also received the Middle East and has earned the Bahraini Artist of the Year award in 2024.

What does ‘FA9LA’ mean?

The track was originally released on May 30, 2024, under Outlaw Productions and was produced by DJ Outlaw. The official audio was uploaded on YouTube back in 2024 on June 6 and has now crossed 7.54 million views and received more than 135,000 likes. The song, titled “Fa9la – Flipperachi (Prod. by DJ Outlaw) (Official Audio)”, continues to trend as new listeners from India discover it following its feature in Dhurandhar.

The ‘Dhurandhar’ moment that made “FA9LA” explode

The song gained popularity after it was used during the entry scene of Akshaye Khanna’s Rehman Dakait, the film’s menacing antagonist. His arrival in the movie, stepping out of a car and briefly joining a celebratory dance, paired with the pounding Khaleeji beat, instantly became one of the film's most talked-about sequences.

Viewers clipped the moment and started sharing it widely on X, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. Many compared “FA9LA” as the "new Jamal Kudu,” the viral track from Animal, calling it Bollywood’s “next big anti-hero anthem.”

The frenzy only grew after Ranveer Singh posted the clip-on Instagram with the caption:

“So here’s ‘THAT’ track from the movie… FLIPPERACHI.

The post introduced Flipperachi to millions of Indian users overnight and sent them searching for the original track.
