James Cameron's ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’, the third chapter in the globally successful Avatar franchise, is set to make its digital debut following a successful run-in cinema. The film, which was released in theatres on December 19, 2025, received a strong response from both audiences and critics and continues the story of Jake Sully, Neytiri and the inhabitants of Pandora after the events of ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’.
Avatar to now stream on JioHotstar
The sci-fi epic will begin streaming on JioHotstar from June 24, 2026. Produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau under Lightstorm Entertainment, the film explores themes of trauma, grief, survival and the resilience of family bonds while expanding the rich mythology of Pandora.
In ‘Avatar: Fire And Ash’, Jake Sully and his family are still coping with the loss of their child when they encounter the Ash People, a hostile Na’vi clan that worships fire and believes it has been abandoned by its goddess.

As tensions rise, the Sully family finds itself facing a new threat while also confronting the return of human aggressors, intensifying the ongoing conflict between the Na’vi and colonisers.

Returning cast members include Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, Zoe Saldaña as Neytiri, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang and Kate Winslet. New and returning performers also feature Oona Chaplin as Varang, Cliff Curtis as Tonowari, Joel David Moore as Dr Norm Spellman and David Thewlis as Peylak.
