After experiencing a difficult time in his private life, Indian cricket sensation Shikhar Dhawan is all set to embark on a new journey. Recently, Dhawan took to Instagram to announce that he is engaged to Sophie Shine.
Dhawan previously married Ayesha Mukherji but later got divorced. He has been with his now-fiancée Sophie Shine for just over two years, during which they have created a huge amount of love amongst their fans.

In the Instagram post, Dhawan writes, "From shared smiles to shared dreams. Grateful for the love, the blessings and every good wish for our engagement as we choose togetherness forever. Shikhar & Sophie."
Who is Sophie Shine?
Sophie Shine, as per the various reports, is an Irish product consultant, with great experience in her field of expertise. She is a graduate from the Limerick Institute of Technology and has a degree in Marketing & Management from Castleroy College.
Previously, Sophie worked as second vice-president for Northern Trust Corporation, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Currently, she is a major support for Shikhar's business. She is also the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Da One Sports since July 2025 as well as the head of the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation, overseeing charitable programmes that positively affect the lives of thousands of people.
How did they meet?
The story of this couple began off camera at a restaurant in Dubai, where they were reported to have met each other for the first time. While Sophie had been spotted at Punjab Kings games in 2024 and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025, there were many speculations about their relationship, but Sophie and Shikhar chose to keep their relationship private until the summer of 2025 when she posted a social media message officially confirming their relationship.

After that, Sophie and Shikhar shared multiple reels and heartfelt Instagram stories of their activities together.
For Shikhar, who retired from all forms of international cricket in August 2024, the support of Sophie following his divorce from Ayesha Mukherji has been tremendous. His friends say that he has gained a new sense of tranquility and happiness due to Sophie's presence.
