Netflix has released the first trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, confirming the return of Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby. The film continues the story of the hugely popular BBC crime drama Peaky Blinders, which ended its six-season run in 2022.
Written by series creator Steven Knight and directed by Tom Harper, the film moves the narrative into wartime Britain. Set in Birmingham in 1940, it places Tommy Shelby against the backdrop of the Second World War, as he returns from self-imposed exile while the pressures on his family and criminal empire intensify.

According to the official synopsis, the country is on the brink of chaos and the Shelby business is under strain. Tommy is forced to confront the consequences of his past decisions while deciding whether the empire he built can survive the changing world around him.
War, reckoning and the return of a legend
The trailer opens with a voice questioning what became of “the famous gypsy gangster,” to which Tommy responds that he is no longer that man. What follows are quick, unsettling images of bomb blasts, street violence and emotional confrontations, hinting at a darker chapter in the Shelby saga.
There are several indications that the movie will examine Tommy's internal struggle just as much as the dangers he faces from the outside. There are intense action scenes that bring additional characters into the narrative when a woman is heard asking him to come back. Tommy Shelby is shown approaching the camera in slow motion as the trailer comes to a conclusion, followed by the title card.
The film also expands the Peaky Blinders universe with a notable ensemble cast. New additions include Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle and Barry Keoghan, whose involvement has sparked strong interest online.
