There will be very few Bengalis who haven't heard Manna Dey's timeless song 'Coffee Houser Sei Addataa'. Many across generations may have found connections with the camaraderie and lives of the six friends portrayed in the song. But what if they weren't just characters in a song but real flesh-and-blood people?
How would their lives have unfolded?
Jenny Sarkar and Dipayan Mondal have moved forward with exactly this thought.

The director duo is bringing their new film 'Coffee House'. Priyanka Bhattacharya will be seen in the role of Roma. Anuradha Mukhopadhyay is playing the character of Sujata. Shubhra Sourav Das is D'Souza, Rajjak Hosen is in the role of Maidul. Pavan Agarwal will be seen in the role of Nikhilesh and Subhashis Ghosh in the character of Amal.

The film's story goes like this: elderly Sujata suddenly goes missing from a tea garden in North Bengal. Her granddaughter, while searching for her, discovers an old diary. From there, the story shifts to 1980s Kolkata. However, while trying to unravel the mysteries of the past, Sujata's granddaughter faces various obstacles. The reason for this will be revealed in this suspense drama genre film.
