A quiet morning takes a grievous turn
Officials said Ria was found after her mother called her for breakfast around 10:30 am and she did not open the door.
Her father was then called, and when the door was opened, she was found hanging inside the room, Circle Officer (CO) Sadar Ankit Kandari told ANI. Police said the incident was first reported at Patel Nagar police station.
Bright promise, burdened mind
Ria had been a bright student, scoring 96.7% in Class 12 and later becoming a college topper. Police said a suicide note was recovered from the spot, which reportedly carried the words, “Mom and Dad, I love you,” along with expressions of disappointment and frustration over not being able to achieve success in her studies.
Kandari said the note contained only a few lines, including “I love you” and “I’m sorry.”
