Delhi tribunal awards ₹2.72 crore to teen paralysed in 2023 accident
A Delhi Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) has awarded ₹2.72 crore as compensation to a 19-year-old man who was left paralysed after a road accident in 2023. The tribunal, presided over by Ruchika Singla, ruled that the accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving by the offending vehicle. The order, passed on April 4, came after evaluating evidence on the principle of “preponderance of probabilities", concluding that the driver was responsible for the crash.
