The Delhi Panchayat Sangh has called for granting full ownership rights to Delhiās villages on an āas is, where isā basis, similar to the policy used to regularise 1,511 unauthorised colonies. Sangh chief Than Singh Yadav said representations have been sent to Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and MPs including Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Kamaljeet Sehrawat and Yogender Chandolia.

Demand for rights, dignity for rural residents
The body said villagers and farmers in Delhi have long been deprived of ownership rights and urged the government to take an early decision to ensure dignity and development in rural areas. Among its demands, the Sangh has sought full ownership rights for Lal Dora areas, expansion of such zones, exemption from house tax and conversion charges, and removal of building by-laws in villages.

Focus on infrastructure and land compensation
The memorandum also calls for better infrastructure, including wider village roads, parking facilities, parks and playgrounds, along with enhanced compensation for acquired land and housing support for landless families. Yadav said a larger panchayat meeting will soon be convened with gram panchayat representatives to discuss the issue and address pending concerns of Delhiās villages.
