In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old woman allegedly jumped from the fourth-floor window of a hotel room in East Delhi, on Friday, after a quarrel with the man she had checked in with.
The incident was caught on camera and police investigation into the case has been initiated.

Woman under treatment
According to police, the incident took place in the Farsh Bazar area at around 1 pm at a hotel located on 60 Feet Road. The woman had reportedly checked into the hotel with a 22-year-old man. Following the argument, she allegedly jumped out the window. After witnessing the fall, locals present in the vicinity rushed her to a hospital and is currently under treatment.

Preliminary probe
According to Hindustan Times, preliminary enquiry revealed that the two had argued in the hotel room after the man refused to marry her, following which the woman allegedly jumped out of the window from the fourth floor in a fit of anger, police said.

The police stated, "At around 1 pm, we received a call reporting that a woman had jumped off a hotel window. The incident occurred at Hotel Santosh Residency on 60 Feet Road. Following a quarrel, the woman allegedly jumped from the fourth floor in anger. She was immediately taken to a hospital and is currently under treatment. Further investigation is underway to determine appropriate action."
Eyewitness report
According to Hindustan Times, speaking to reporters, an eyewitness, Mohammad Mumtazir, said, "I was just leaving on my bike when I saw the girl sitting on the ledge above. She was about to jump, and people were standing there trying to stop her. After that, a man from the electronics shop showed promptness and put cardboards on the ground."
