AI takes over big screen as Delhi hosts India’s first AI film festival at Qutub Minar

Delhi will stage its first AI Film Festival featuring festival screenings, global creativity panels and cutting-edge AI-powered storytelling.

Delhi will host India’s first-ever AI Film Festival on February 17, 2026, bringing together filmmakers, technologists and innovators at the historic Qutub Minar. The festival will be held as part of the broader India AI Impact Summit and has attracted global tech leaders.

The event aims to highlight how artificial intelligence is transforming storytelling, cinema and the future of creative expression.

A new platform for creativity

According to NDTV, the event is organised by InVideo and sponsored by tech giant Nvidia. The India AI Film Festival (IAFF) aims to be a vibrant celebration of how AI tools are being used in filmmaking and digital content creation. The festival will present a showcase of AI-generated films and short formats from around the world. It aims at highlighting experimentation at the frontier of cinema and algorithmic artistry.

Screenings are expected alongside panel discussions on storytelling, creativity and ethics. It will offer both entertainment and insight into how artificial intelligence is transforming visual narratives.

Film enthusiasts and professionals will have the chance to see some of the most creative works emerging from the global AI filmmaking community. The judges and speakers will analyse trends, techniques and the artistic potentials unlocked by machine-assisted storytelling. The festival also includes a top film prize worth USD 12,000.

A festive addition to a landmark tech summit

The AI Film Festival is not a standalone event but part of the India AI Impact Summit (February 16-20). It is expected to be a major gathering which brings together leaders from global tech firms, policymakers, innovators and investors. The summit itself has generated international buzz with participation from figures such as tech CEOs and policymakers. The five-day agenda includes exhibitions, deep-dive discussions and showcases of the latest AI applications across industries.
