The national capital on Friday dawned with moderate fog conditions. This comes after yesterday’s Christmas celebrations, with air quality continuously getting worse and entering the "very poor" category. As per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the overall Air Quality Index of Delhi stood at 305 at 8 am.
Anand Vihar had the poorest air quality in Delhi with an AQI of 390. This is despite an improvement in air quality on Tuesday.
AQI deteriorates following brief relief
This decrease came just a day after Delhi experienced relief from air pollution with an improved AQI that categorised air quality as ‘poor’ on Christmas Day. This came after almost two weeks of ‘very poor and severe’ air quality.
