Several schools across the national capital were put on high alert on Monday morning after receiving bomb threat emails with alarming and provocative messages. The emergency services were rolled out immediately as the authorities began to make an assessment of the situation and ensure the safety of the students.
Threat emails trigger emergency response
According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), the first distress call was received at 8:33 am. Shortly after, fire engines and bomb squads were dispatched to various schools in the city. Security checks were also initiated as a precautionary measure.

Nine schools named in threat messages
As per a report by NDTV, at least nine schools received the threatening emails. These include Loreto Convent School in Delhi Cantonment, Cambridge School in Srinivaspuri and New Friends Colony, The Indian School in Sadiq Nagar, DTA School in INA, and several schools in Rohini, including Venkateshwar School, CM School, and Bal Bharati School.
More schools were reported to be receiving threatening emails similar to the ones received by the other schools.

Provocative content raises concern
The emails reportedly contained inflammatory language, including claims such as “Delhi will become Khalistan” and references to “In memory of Afzal Guru”. The message also warned of a blast occurring in Parliament on February 13th at 1:11 pm.
No untoward incident has been reported so far, officials said, adding that further updates will follow as investigations progress.
