As investigators sift the evidence
The video is now being checked for authenticity, and investigators are also verifying the sequence of events that led to the death, police said.
Kumar was the only son in the family. His father works in a government department, and his mother is a homemaker. The family has been left in deep shock and has declined to speak to the media.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Kotwali Nagar) Upasana Pandey said the video recovered from the aspirant’s phone is being examined and that police are probing all aspects of the case.
The incident has come at a sensitive time, with the NEET re-examination due on June 21. The incident also serves as a reminder that support is available for those struggling with emotional distress. Mental health professionals encourage people facing difficult moments to reach out to family, friends, counselors, or trusted support networks rather than suffer in silence.
