India and Brazil on Saturday unveiled a broad roadmap to deepen their strategic partnership. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva held extensive talks in New Delhi. A joint statement outlined cooperation in digital technology, trade, defence, climate action, and Global South leadership.
The two leaders reaffirmed the Strategic Partnership established in 2006. They called it a partnership between two major democracies with shared goals. The visit builds on Modi's trip to Brazil in July 2025. Both sides said the roadmap will guide ties for the next decade, NDTV reported.

A key outcome was the Joint Declaration on the Digital Partnership for the Future. Both countries will work on Digital Public Infrastructure, artificial intelligence, data protection, and ethical AI governance. Lula attended the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi.
