Students were allegedly made to stand undressed in the cold as punishment for not completing their homework. The incident involved Class VII students who were reportedly forced to stand outside their classroom. The allegation has been levelled against a private school in Madhya Pradesh. After the incident came to light in Sehore district, parents and local residents expressed strong anger.

What happened at the school?

According to administrative and local sources, the incident took place at a private school in Jatakheda village of the Sehore district. Class VII students were allegedly made to stand almost naked in the cold for failing to complete their homework. Probe launched

Following the protest, the district education department launched an investigation into the matter. Sehore District Education Officer Sanjay Tomar said that the manner in which the students were punished was completely unacceptable.

Officials stated that the students were questioned separately. Based on their statements, immediate orders were issued to remove the school's principal, Samarin Khan, along with two other staff members. The school has also been fined ₹1 lakh.
