With the league stage nearing its end, the IPL 2026 points table has turned into a battlefield. While RCB have officially secured their playoff berth, the fight for the remaining three spots is still wide open, with six teams mathematically alive in the race. Net run rate, remaining fixtures and head-to-head battles could now decide who survives the final stretch.
RCB through, GT and SRH in a strong position
RCB became the first team to qualify after reaching 18 points from 13 matches. GT are currently second with 16 points and remain favourites to seal a playoff place with one match left. SRH, sitting on 14 points from 12 games, also control their own destiny. Two wins from their remaining matches could even push them into the top two.

PBKS occupy fourth place with 13 points from 13 matches, but their chances are delicate as they have only one game remaining. A defeat could open the door for several teams below them.
RR, CSK and KKR are still alive in the playoff battle
RR and CSK are both on 12 points from 12 matches and still have a realistic chance of qualification. Both sides need strong finishes and favourable results elsewhere to break into the top four.

KKR, placed eighth with 11 points from 12 games, remain mathematically alive but face the toughest route. They must win both remaining matches and hope multiple results go in their favour.

DC’s poor net run rate has left them hanging by a thread despite reaching 12 points, while MI and LSG have already been eliminated from the tournament. The race is now set for a dramatic finish in the final week of the league stage.
