The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), the agency implementing the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor, has announced a recruitment drive for 224 positions across executive and non-executive categories.
According to the recruitment notification, the vacancies are intended to support the development and future operations of India's first bullet train project, one of the country's largest transport infrastructure initiatives.
The recruitment drive covers technical, operational and managerial positions, offering opportunities for professionals from engineering and railway operations backgrounds.

Vacancies across multiple departments
As per the notification, NHSRCL is recruiting for 224 posts, including 209 non-executive positions and 15 executive positions.
The vacancies are available across several departments, including:
Junior Engineer
Station/Train Manager
Depot/Operations Controller
Information Technology (IT)
Security
Junior Engineer positions are available in Civil, Track, Electrical, Signalling and Telecom (S&T), Rolling Stock and Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) disciplines.

The corporation has also announced 55 vacancies for Station/Train Manager posts and five vacancies for Depot/Operations Controller roles. The recruitment drive comes as construction work continues on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor.
Once operational, the high-speed rail service is expected to reduce travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad to around two hours. The project is currently targeted for inauguration on August 15, 2027.

According to the notification, applicants should not be more than 45 years old as of May 31, 2026.
Candidates must also possess at least three years of experience in operation and maintenance activities related to railway, metro or Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) projects. Educational qualifications include a three-year diploma or BE/BTech degree in the relevant discipline, depending on the post.
Selection process and salary

Selection of candidates will be done only after clearing all the stages. Salary structure for selected candidates will be on the basis of Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) pay scale between ₹40,000 to ₹1,25,000 based on the post.

Other than that, there will also be some allowances in addition to the salary for which they have specified HRA, medical facilities, and any other admissible allowance.
Security bond of ₹3 lakh has been stated by NHSRCL where selected candidates will have to work with the organization for four years. Candidates can participate in the recruitment process and get themselves enrolled in the construction process of India’s first-ever bullet train.
