The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), a major centre of ISRO, has opened applications for its Internship 2026 programme. The opportunity is exclusively for Indian citizens pursuing science and technology disciplines relevant to the Department of Space (DoS) and ISRO programmes.
The internship is designed to give students real-time exposure to ongoing space research and technology projects.
About the programme
The VSSC Internship 2026 is offered by the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) of VSSC. It is a structured project training initiative where selected students work on live projects under the guidance of ISRO scientists and engineers.
The programme is meant for academic exposure in research and development areas connected to space technology. Internship work is carried out only in unclassified areas of VSSC/ISRO.

As per the official portal, the training is provided only after prior approval and is managed entirely through the online internship application system. All communication, including selection updates, is handled via the same platform. Selection depends on internal availability and facility constraints at VSSC.
Eligibility criteria
The internship is open to bona fide students from recognised universities and institutions who are currently pursuing their degrees.
Applicants must:
Be Indian citizens.
Do only one internship per degree course.
Have at least 60% aggregate or CGPA 6.32/10.
Apply only through the VSSC Internship Online Portal (offline requests are not accepted).
UG applicants must have completed at least the 4th semester.
PG applicants must have completed at least the 1st semester.
PhD applicants must have completed coursework.
Upload the required supporting documents during registration.

Apply within the official deadline
Eligibility is strictly project-based and subject to VSSC approval. Only shortlisted candidates meeting the academic and project requirements will be considered.
Applications for the current slot INT 07 are open from 16 February 2026 (10:00 AM) to 16 March 2026. Students must register through the official HRDD-VSSC internship portal, fill in academic details, upload supporting documents in a single PDF (maximum 5 MB), and submit before the deadline.
The internship duration ranges from a minimum of 21 days to a maximum of 45 days. No stipend or financial assistance is provided.
Project areas may include Mechanical and Aerospace, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Physics and other applied sciences, depending on internal availability and academic background.
