Google has announced new paid internship and apprenticeship programs, opening up job opportunities for students across disciplines. These programs will begin later this year and are open to undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students, with roles available in multiple fields. According to media reports, the internships will be conducted at Google’s offices in Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad.

Google has listed the following internship and research opportunities for eligible students:
Silicon Engineering Intern PhD
Software Engineering PhD Intern – Summer 2026
Student researcher 2026
For the Silicon Engineering Intern PhD program, applicants must be PhD students in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any equivalent technical field.
The Software Engineering PhD Intern program is open to candidates pursuing a PhD in software development or equivalent disciplines. This internship will run for 12 to 14 weeks, offering participants exposure to real-world corporate work experience.

Eligibility and application deadline
Under the Student Researcher Program, students currently enrolled at the undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD level in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or any branch of science are eligible to apply.
Applications for all programs must be submitted by March 31 of this year. Detailed information and application guidelines are available on Google’s official careers page.
