Home gardening is not such a difficult task. With a little care, you can easily grow vegetables in your own garden. You don't need a huge garden for that. A small terrace or courtyard with good light and airflow will do. You can grow daily vegetables in pots too.

Spinach

Spinach grows quickly. The plant grows in just 25-30 days. You need to ensure that water doesn't accumulate in the pot where you keep it. Fresh green plants start sprouting in less than a month.

Coriander leaves

Coriander leaves are found in almost every Indian kitchen. Yet prices remain sky-high throughout the year except in winter. You can cultivate coriander leaves by planting seeds in pots. The soil should be slightly moist.

Carrots

Small hybrid carrots are best for growing in the garden. Once the roots start forming, you can fill a grow bag with soil and plant the seedlings. Sandy soil works well in this case.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes grow best in 12 or 14-inch pots. The plant needs support to grow. So you can tie the plant around small sticks. Regular water and sunlight are essential.

Garlic

Garlic plants don't need much care. Just plant garlic in a pot. With daily sun and water, it will grow slowly.

Okra

Okra grows well in pots in the Indian climate. Plenty of sunlight is needed for a good yield.

Potatoes

Potatoes can be cultivated in buckets or grow bags. Potato harvest will be ready in 60-70 days. You can start right now.
